Feel free to send us a message if you have any questions, and I hope the advice in this post is helpful in your marketing journey!
Square's Pros and Cons
👍 PROS:
1) EASY SETUP: Square is so simple that anyone (in theory) should be able to do it.
2) BUDGET-FRIENDLY: If you’re watching every penny, Square’s pricing should fit the bill (no pun intended), and their fees will never blindside you.
3) DATA DRIVEN DECISIONS: Dive into the numbers with detailed sales reports that could change ways you approach your business.
4) POCKET-SIZED POWERHOUSE: Don’t let the size of Square’s reader fool you. Their suite of products is versatile for all industries, and you can tailor them to fit your needs with features like: appointment scheduling, team management, inventory management, customer connection/loyalty programs, and contactless payments – and of course it accepts all forms of payment including credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Wallet.
5) ONLINE STORE INTEGRATION: You can start selling your products around the globe with Square’s seamless online store integration.
👎 CONS:
1) TRANSACTION FEES: Square takes a tiny (but very noticeable to business owners) slice of the pie with each transaction – and as your business grows, so do the fees.
2) OFFLINE LIMITATIONS: Uh-oh, no Wi-Fi? When you’re far from civilization or inside a building with poor connection, Square might leave you hanging.
3) SLOW CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Square’s support team can take a while to get back to you, and if you’re selling globally, you know that their international support is even slower.
4) LEARNING CURVE: Square’s wide range of features are great, but they make for a steep learning curve. Be prepared to invest time in mastering everything.
5) CUSTOMIZATION CHALLENGES: Even after learning all of the features Square has to offer, many businesses find that as they grow, they are unable to customize Square’s features to meet their new highly specialized needs.
